Hello everyone! I'm Nathan – a world traveler, polyglot, and the founder of Native English Now. I started this program as a way to share my unique language-learning method - a method I developed after working with thousands of students around the world.

So let me start off this introduction telling you a little about myself. I grew up in Florida, USA, where I lived throughout my childhood. When I was 16, I started studying my first foreign language: Portuguese. That sparked my passion for languages, and I knew that they would become a part of my life for good!

Fast forward a few years later, and I had finished my studies and was now fluent in Portuguese. I had also finished training in TEFL(Teaching English as a Foreign Language), and I knew that English teaching would be a big part of my future career. However, I also wanted to learn about new cultures and places, and see the world. That’s when I decide to move to Brazil.

While in Brazil, I worked with English learners of all ages. It was an opportunity for me to see how ESL schools are run abroad, as well as improve my own language learning methods. Since then, I've traveled through South America, North America, Europe and Asia, working with various schools throughout these continents. I’ve learned new languages(Portuguese, Spanish, and Russian), and I’ve learned about so many new cultures! It always amazes me to see how many students are interested in my language and culture, no matter how far I travel from home! However, I’ve always realized that most schools use teaching methods that simply don’t work.

The purpose of language is communication. Yet most ESL students spend their days memorizing conjugation charts and answering questions on worksheets. Quality language instruction is all about using the language - speaking at every opportunity! And that means every student needs a unique lesson plan - one that considers their work, schooling, hobbies, and circumstances. Here on Native English Now, you’ll find that lessons will be targeted for you. I want you to enjoy learning English, and not feel like lessons are another chore!
