I’ve spent most of my life working in business, only to discover how much I enjoy teaching English! And now, I’m excited to be able to share my language with you!

So let me tell you a little about myself. I was born in Ohio, a fairly well-known state in the USA. After finishing up school, I soon decided to move to Florida(and don’t miss the cold winters a bit!).

For most of my life, I worked in business, specifically, the food services industry. At one point, I decided to leave the industry and start my own company(providing cleaning services). I’m happy to say that this pursuit was quite successful.

While working, I also raised five beautiful children, who’ve since given me 5 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Nowadays, I spend most of my time visiting with my kids and grandkids. Since retiring a few years ago, I’ve found that I have plenty of time to pursue the things I want.

And that’s what led me into teaching ESL. I’ve always enjoyed meeting people from new places, and getting the chance to learn more about them. And teaching English opened up a great opportunity for me to do just that. After getting my TEFL certification, I’ve helped students all over the world learn more about my language and culture, and (I feel) that my students have done the same for me!
